Pacific container spot freight rises slowly

According to the Baltic Freight Daily Index, the spot freight rate between China and West Coast last Friday was $1,441 per 40 feet equivalent, up 11% from before GRI on Thursday and 44% from before GRI on April 15th.

FBX index showed that the freight rate between China and East Coast on Friday was US $2,448 per FEU, which was 6% higher than the latest GRI and 17% higher than the GRI on April 15th.
