Sanya Airport Cross-Border E-Commerce Export Surges: Over RMB 80 Million in 4 Months

Since launching its first cross-border e-commerce charter route in August 2025, Sanya Airport has seen remarkable growth in export business, handling over 870,000 parcels worth more than RMB 80 million in just four months.

Leveraging the Sanya-Tbilisi-Milan intercontinental cargo route, goods like festive decorations and apparel can reach European consumers in as little as 15 hours, slashing the logistics cycle from 7 days to 3 days. Driven by year-end promotions, monthly shipment volume hit 300,000 parcels in peak season.

Supported by Hainan Free Trade Port policies, customs has set up an exclusive inspection zone to enable 24/7 clearance. With AI sorting, blockchain traceability and the "advance declaration, release upon arrival" model, customs clearance time is compressed to 3.5 hours.

This air cargo channel helps enterprises cut comprehensive logistics costs by 30%-40% and shorten delivery cycles by 50% by avoiding transshipment via Hong Kong or Singapore. Moving forward, Sanya Airport will expand route networks, boost B2B export services and optimize capacity allocation to further unlock the potential of Hainan's air trade.
