Online sales in the fourth quarter of the United States may only increase by 1%

According to the forecast released by Salesforce, the sales of e-commerce in the United States in Q4 of 2023 are expected to reach 273 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year growth rate of 1%.

In comparison, the global online market is expected to grow by 4%, and online sales are expected to reach 1.19 trillion US dollars. "During the back-to-school season, 42% of consumers said they would spend more, but 57% of consumers would spend less," said Caila Schwartz, director of retail consumer goods/consumer insight and strategy at Salesforce.
