In an effort to help Indian sellers successfully establish cross-border operations, Amazon recently announced a reduction in subscription fees for its global store opening program. Sellers who join the program before March 31, 2024 will pay just $1 per month for the first three months, and after that, the fees will be restored to $39.99 per month.


At the same time, Amazon also announced that Indian exporters will get Amazon SEND services at a lower price. It is reported that SEND was launched last year, allowing Indian exporters to transport their goods to Amazon distribution centers in the United States through cross-border logistics services of multiple third-party service providers.



According to the data released by Amazon, in the recently concluded Prime Big Deal Days Sale on October 10 and 11,2023, the Indian exporter business under Amazon's global store opening plan increased by nearly 70% year-on-year, and increased by 170% compared with the daily sales level.



At present, India's e-commerce sales account for about 3% of total consumption, which also shows that India's e-commerce market is in the early stage of rapid development and has great potential.


According to eMarketer's report, by 2025, India's retail e-commerce sales are expected to reach US $145 billion, with a compound annual growth rate of 25.1% from 2021 to 2025, but it only accounts for 10.3% of India's total retail sales. The growth of India's retail e-commerce sales makes the country far exceed the global retail e-commerce sales growth forecast. 






旺季成本下降!亚马逊印度站多项费用下调


       日前,为了帮助印度卖家成功建立跨境业务,亚马逊宣布降低其全球开店计划的订阅费。在2024年3月31日之前加入这一计划的卖家,前三月的订阅费仅需1美元,此后,费用将恢复到每月39.99美元。


       与此同时,亚马逊还宣布,印度出口商将以更低的价格获得亚马逊跨境承运伙伴方案(Amazon SEND)服务。据悉SEND于去年推出,允许印度出口商通过多个第三方服务提供商的跨境物流服务将其货物运送到美国的亚马逊配送中心。



       据亚马逊发布的数据,最近结束的2023年10月10日和11日的Prime Big Deal Days Sale中,亚马逊全球开店计划下的印度出口商业务同比增长近70%,与日常销售水平相比增长170%。



       目前印度电子商务销售占比约占总消费占比3%左右,这也侧面说明印度电商市场正处于快速发展初期,潜力巨大。


       根据eMarketer的报告显示,到2025年,印度的零售电商销售额预计将高达1450亿美元,2021年至2025年间的复合年增长率为25.1%,但其仅占印度零售总额的10.3%。印度零售电商销售额的增长使该国远远超过了全球零售电商销售额的增长预期。
