Vietnam: Sales of maternal and child products on e-commerce platform increased by 57% year-on-year

Vietnam, where more than 1.5 million newborns are born every year, has the highest proportion of young families in Southeast Asia, with 12% of families having babies under 1 year old and 20% having babies between 1 and 2 years old, driving the rapid expansion of the baby care products market in the country.
It is reported that in the first nine months of this year, the sales of maternal and child products of Vietnam's five major e-commerce platforms (Shopee, Lazada, Tiki, Sendo and TikTokShop) reached 8.7 trillion Vietnamese dong, up 57% year-on-year.
It is understood that milk powder and baby food are the products that bring the largest income to the maternal and child industry, with an income of 1.54 trillion Vietnamese dong in 9 months, an increase of 10% over the same period last year.
Followed by baby diapers, with sales of 1.43 trillion Vietnamese dong, an increase of 11%; In third place was infant feeding appliances, worth 1.11 trillion Vietnamese dong, up 46 percent.
