In September, China's aquatic products imported from Japan have returned to zero!
In the monthly report of China's import and export statistics recently released by the General Administration of Customs, there is no record of "fish and other aquatic invertebrates" imported by China from Japan in the amount table of imported goods from some countries (regions) in September.
In August, China imported 149 million yuan of this kind of products from Japan. The data also showed that China imported 2.085 billion yuan from Japan in the first eight months, which is exactly the same as the cumulative data of the first nine months, which means that China did not import any aquatic products from Japan in September.
The export of Japanese aquatic products has been severely hampered since the Fukushima nuclear contaminated water was released into the sea, CCTV reported. According to Japanese media reports, scallops and other aquatic products are about to be piled up to the ceiling about 8 meters high in the warehouses of some aquatic products processing enterprises.
Japan's minister of agriculture, forestry and fisheries recently called on Japanese people to help eat five more scallops per person per year in the face of overstocking. Tokyo Electric Power Co., Ltd. began accepting claims for compensation from merchants on the 2nd of this month because of the rising cost of storage due to the overstocking of aquatic products due to the obstruction of export.
