Indonesia imposes new tariffs on 4 kinds of goods! 

Indonesia's Ministry of Finance recently issued Regulation No.96 of 2023, which included bicycles, cosmetics, steel and watches in the MFN tariff list, and the types of goods subject to Indonesia's MFN tariff increased from the original four to eight.

The details are as follows: Imported bicycles will be subject to tariffs of 25-40%, including 40% for electric bicycles,10%for watches,10%-15% for cosmetics and 0%-20% for steel. This regulation came into effect on October 17,2023. 

In the previous regulations, the government has stipulated that four kinds of goods should be subject to MFN tariffs, namely, textiles should be subject to 5%-25% tariffs, footwear should be subject to 5%-30% tariffs, luggage should be subject to 15%-20% tariffs, and books should be subject to 0% tariffs. 

Fadjar Donny pointed out that the import trade of these eight commodities is very large, especially cosmetics, and the import volume is very high, which is very likely to affect the development of domestic industries.

In addition, Indonesian Customs will charge 7.5% fixed import tax and 11% value-added tax (VAT) for goods imported through cross-border e-commerce.

印尼新对4种商品征收关税！

       印尼财政部近日发布2023年第96号条例显示，将自行车、化妆品、钢铁和手表纳入最惠国关税清单，印尼最惠国关税的商品种类由原来的4种商品增加到8种商品。

       具体情况如下：进口自行车将被征收25-40%的关税，其中针对电动自行车将征收40%的关税，手表的最惠国关税为10%,化妆品为10%-15%,钢铁为0%-20%。此规定于2023年10月17日正式生效。

       在之前的条例中，政府已规定了4种商品征收最惠国关税，即纺织品征收5%-25%的关税，鞋类征收5%-30%的关税，箱包征收15%-20%的关税，书籍征收0%的关税。

       Fadjar Donny指出，这8种商品的进口贸易规模很大，尤其是化妆品，进口量非常高，极有可能影响国内工业的发展。

       除此之外，印尼海关还将对通过跨境电商进口的商品，收取7.5%固定进口税和11%增值税(VAT).
