Two major ports in the United States and West released August data



Los Angeles Port and Long Beach Port LB, two major ports in the United States and West, recently released data for August this year.


In August, container throughput at Los Angeles increased for the first time in 13 months. In August this year, container throughput at Los Angeles Port was 828,000 TEU, up 2.8 percent year-on-year.


It was the port's first monthly year-on-year increase in 13 months. Imports of heavy containers rose 7.3 percent to 433,200 TEU, while exports of heavy containers rose 22.2 percent to 125,000 TEU. In addition, empty containers passing through Los Angeles fell 9.9 percent to 269,800 TEU.


In the first eight months of 2023, the container throughput of Los Angeles Port was 5,649,700 TEU, down 21.0% year-on-year. The freight volume of LB this year was basically the same as that before the epidemic.




美西两大港口公布8月份数据



       美西两大港口洛杉矶港和长滩港LB日前相继公布今年8月份数据。


       洛杉矶港8月份集装箱吞吐量13个月来首次同比增长。今年8月,洛杉矶港集装箱吞吐量为82.80万TEU,同比增长2.8%。


       这是此港13个月来首次出现月度同比增长。其中进口重箱增长7.3%到43.32万TEU,出口重箱增长22.2%到12.50万TEU。另外,通过洛杉矶港的空箱数量下降了9.9%,至26.98万TEU。


       2023年前8个月,洛杉矶港集装箱吞吐量564.97万TEU,同比下降21.0%。LB今年的货运量与疫情前的水平基本持平。
