International shipping company Maersk was attacked twice in a row
Another U.S.-flagged Maersk Line vessel has been targeted by the Houthis. The 2004-built 2,500 TEU Maersk Saratoga was escorted out of Djibouti by U.S. warships at the time of the Houthis attack, and ten days later, the Houthis launched another attack nearby.
Houthi spokesman Yahya Sari revealed that two "American" destroyers and three "American" supply ships were attacked in the Gulf of Aden.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on December 10 that the U.S. Navy warships USS Stockdale (DDG 106) and USS O 'Kane (DDG 77) successfully defeated a series of Houthi-fired weapons as they crossed the Gulf of Aden on December 9-10.
CENTCOM said: "The destroyer was escorting three U.S.-owned, operated and flagged merchant ships.These reckless attacks caused no casualties or damage to any vessels, civilians or the U.S. Navy.
The destroyer successfully shot down multiple one-way attack unmanned aerial systems (OWA UAS) and an anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM), ensuring the safety of the ship and its personnel, as well as civilian vessels and their crews. ”
The warships also repelled Houthi attacks on the same ship between November 30 and December 1st, the Central Command revealed. In the two attempted attacks, the ship was undamaged and the crew escaped safely.
