Blockbuster CMA CGM returns to the Red Sea route!

Although the Red Sea, an important global route, has suffered a long-term violent attack, forcing major shipping companies to bypass Africa.

Recently, CMA CGM announced that it will reopen its route service across the Red Sea. According to the latest sailing plan on the company's official website, the company will start its "India America Express" (India America Express) from mid-November., referred to as "INDAMEX") route is adjusted to pass through the Suez Canal.

This change means that ships operated by CMA CGM will resume two-way calling at the ports of Damietta and Jeddah, and the port of Tanger Med will be added to the westbound route.

Specific plans for the new "INDAMEX" route

CMA CGM's adjustment to the "INDAMEX" route means that its voyage will be shortened to 11 weeks, with one ship sailing every week, compared with the previous voyage of 12 weeks.

In the plan, 11 ships with a capacity between 8,500 and 9,950 TEUs will be deployed on this route, calling at major ports in the following order:

Port Qasim, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Damietta, Port of Tangier (westbound calls only), New York, Norfolk, Savannah, Charleston, and finally return to Damietta and Jeddah until you return to the starting point of Port Qasim.

The round-trip service of these ships will cover the main shipping needs of the Indian subcontinent to the east coast of the United States, while smoothly crossing the Red Sea area through the Suez Canal.

(Tanger Med).
