Recently, China Shipbuilding Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding, CSSC Trading and Canada's Seaspan Company, the world's largest independent container ship charter owner, signed a construction contract for six self-developed 13,600-container large container ships in Shanghai and settled them in RMB. This is my country's largest shipbuilding order settled in RMB for container ships this year.
The 13,600-container large container ship signed this time is a green and environmentally friendly container ship independently developed and designed by China Shipbuilding Hudong-Zhonghua, with a total length of about 336 meters and a width of 51 meters. It can carry 14,132 standard containers at most and provide 2,000 refrigerated container spaces. The design adopts the latest environmental protection concept and is equipped with desulfurization tower and energy-saving device, which can meet the shipowner's subsequent green fuel modification needs and ensure low energy consumption, high speed and green environmental protection performance.
It is worth noting that this batch of orders is the third batch of orders for a total of 15 large container ships undertaken by Hudong-Zhonghua this year. It is the first time that it has been settled in RMB, and it is also the largest shipbuilding order for container ships settled in RMB in my country this year. It is of great significance to promote the internationalization of the RMB.
At the same time, the use of RMB settlement will also help shipping companies reduce exchange risks, enhance profitability, and enhance market competitiveness. At the same time, it will also help shipowners reduce financing costs and improve trade efficiency.
It is understood that the series of ships signed this time are scheduled to be completed and delivered between 2026 and 2028. Currently, all civilian ship orders held by Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding are green, environmentally friendly and high value-added ship types, and plans for some production lines have been scheduled to After 2030.
我国国际海运船企再签大订单(首次以人民币结算)
近日,中国船舶沪东中华造船联合中船贸易与全球最大独立集装箱船租赁船东加拿大Seaspan(西斯班)公司,在上海签订6艘自主研发的13600箱大型集装箱船建造合同,并以人民币结算,这是今年我国集装箱船型最大一单以人民币结算的造船订单.
本次签约的13600箱大型集装箱船是一艘由中国船舶沪东中华自主研发设计的一款绿色环保型集装箱船,总长约336米,型宽51米,最大可以装载14132个标准集装箱,并提供2000个冷藏箱位.设计上采用最新环保理念,装备脱硫塔和节能装置,可满足船东后续绿色燃料改装需求,保证低能耗、高航速与绿色环保性能.
值得关注的是,这批订单是沪东中华今年承接的第3批共计15艘大型集装箱船订单,是首次以人民币结算,也是今年我国集装箱船型最大一单以人民币结算的造船订单,这对于推进人民币国际化具有重要意义.
同时,采用人民币结算,也将有助于船企减少汇兑风险,增强盈利能力,提升市场竞争力,同时也有利于船东降低融资成本,提高贸易效率.
据了解,本次签约的系列船计划于2026年至2028年间陆续完工交付.目前,沪东中华造船手持民船订单全部为绿色环保和高附加值船型,部分生产条线的计划已排至2030年之后.
