Bulgaria accelerates the development of international freight drones (International Freight News and Information)
The city of Targovisht, Bulgaria, faces logistics and location bottlenecks, which limit economic development. However, the development of cargo drone technology provides a new solution to this problem. The "Black Swan" cargo drone developed by Bulgaria's Dronamics Company successfully completed its first flight and was awarded the EU Light UAV System Operation Certificate, becoming the first cargo drone airline in Europe to obtain this license.
The UAV has a wingspan of 16 meters, a payload of 350 kilograms, a maximum range of 2,500 kilometers, low requirements on ground infrastructure, and can take off and land on a 400-meter runway. In addition, Dronamics has received financial support from the European Innovation Commission and the UAE Strategic Development Fund, and cooperated with the Greek Post Company to provide material distribution services.
Cargo drones will significantly reduce air freight costs, improve air freight efficiency, rewrite the economic landscape, and bring new opportunities to remote areas. Dronamics plans to open more cargo drone routes around the world to promote the popularization of the concept of "flying trucks" and focus its business on Europe and the Middle East. In the future, it will also be committed to promoting the global application of cargo drones.
