International shipping company Evergreen Marine releases important companies (such companies will refuse to cooperate)

Recently, Evergreen Shipping issued an important announcement to customers and partners, saying that it refused to cooperate with the following two types of enterprises:

1. Do not do business with individuals or entities included in the blacklists of OFAC sanctions from the EU, the United Nations, the United Kingdom and the United States

2. Do not conduct business with entities that hold more than 50% of the ownership of individuals or entities included in the sanctions list ("sanctioned parties")

Evergreen said the move was to ensure that it did not violate relevant economic sanctions (ensure that Evergreen Line does not violate economic sanctions regulations).

In addition to not working with sanctioned individuals/entities, Evergreen Marine has also announced that it will not accept any carrier-owned containers (SOC captive containers) that may expose it to any risk of sanctions.

Evergreen Marine said it expects customers to conduct due diligence before delivering their own containers (SOC captive containers) to Evergreen, ensuring that neither the container owner nor the prefix owner of the SOC is a sanctioned party, or an entity established under the laws of Iran, North Korea, Cuba and Syria.

长荣海运表示,此举是为了确保其不违反相关经济制裁的规定（确保长荣线不违反经济制裁规定）。

除了不与被制裁的个人/实体合作外,长荣海运还宣布不接受任何可能使其面临任何制裁风险的承运人自有集装箱(SOC 自备柜).

长荣海运表示,希望客户在将自有集装箱(SOC 自备柜)交付给长荣之前进行尽职调查,确保集装箱所有人或SOC的前缀所有人都不是受制裁方,或者是根据伊朗、朝鲜、古巴和叙利亚法律成立的实体.
