Sudden: A fire broke out on an international shipping container ship



Authorities in Singapore have rescued 12 crew members from a fire aboard a Malaysian cargo ship. The rescued crew members include 11 Indonesians and one Bangladeshi.


According to reports, at 12:50 pm local time on April 16, a Tanzanian-flagged 1,598-dwt ship Layar Anggun 8 caught fire in Singapore's territorial waters near Pedra Branca.


Layar Anngun 8, built in 1991, is owned by Malaysian company Ilham Layar, according to Equasis database.


The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said:"All 12 crew members have been safely rescued and boarded the vessel of the Singapore Police Coast Guard and are en route to Singapore. The vessel is currently moored near Tanjung Belakit in Indonesian waters. MPA has notified the relevant Indonesian authorities."

       新加坡海事和港口管理局(MPA)表示:“所有12名船员已安全获救,登上新加坡警察海岸警卫队的船只,正在前往新加坡的途中。这艘船目前停泊在印尼海域的丹戎贝拉基特附近。MPA已经通知了印尼有关当局。”
