Sudden: A truck carrying a 40-foot container in Evergreen rolled over

Yesterday morning (April 16th), an Evergreen container truck carrying a 40-foot container overturned while driving on National Highway 2 in Taiwan, my country, causing road traffic jams.

The truck overturned at around 6:52 a.m. local time at the Zhentou interchange,0.1 kilometers east of the expressway, causing the road in the direction of the interchange to be blocked. National Highway 2 connects Taoyuan and New Taipei City. Traffic is severely restricted due to the accident occurring in the morning rush hour.

After learning of the incident, the police sent a fire truck and an ambulance to the scene. The 53-year-old truck driver was trapped in the car and he was still awake. After firefighters rescued him, he was sent to Taoyuan Minsheng General Hospital. There was a laceration on his left hand and a graze on his right foot.

The alcohol test showed that the driver, surnamed Wei, was not drunk. Although the cause of the accident is under investigation, the police believe that the wrong operation of the truck caused the vehicle to overturn.

The Highway Authority has set up an emergency response team to respond to the crash and said the affected section of the highway remains closed. Other motorists are advised to avoid the section. 

突发：国际海运公司长荣一40英尺集装箱发生侧翻

       昨天早上（4月16日），一辆载有40英尺集装箱的长荣集装箱卡车在我国台湾2号国道行驶时侧翻，导致道路交通堵塞。

       公路警察局表示，当地时间早上6点52分左右，这辆卡车在高速公路以东0.1公里的镇头立交翻车，导致立交方向的道路不通。2号国道连接桃园与新北市，由于事故发生在早高峰时间，交通受到严重限制。

       在得知事件后，警方派了消防车和救护车到现场。53岁的卡车司机被困在车里，他仍然清醒。消防人员将他救起后，他被送往桃园民生总医院，左手有撕裂伤，右脚也有擦伤。

       酒精测试显示，司机魏姓并未醉酒。虽然事故原因正在调查中，但警方认为，卡车的错误操作导致了车辆翻车。

       高速公路管理局已经成立了一个应急小组来应对这起事故，并表示受影响的高速公路部分仍然关闭。其他驾车者被建议避开该路段。
