Dalian Zhoushuizi Air Transport Airport Customs inspected 11,800 cigarettes

Recently, when Dalian Zhoushuizi Airport Customs supervised inbound passengers, 59 illegally carried cigarettes, totaling 11,800, were continuously seized in the luggage of two passengers.

While monitoring the luggage of inbound passengers, Customs officers found that the X-ray images of the luggage of the two passengers were very similar and had not been declared to the Customs. Customs officers immediately unpacked the luggage and found that there were a large number of cigarettes in the luggage of the two passengers.

After further counting, there were 59 cigarettes and 11,800 cigarettes. Two passengers admitted that they carried the above items for purchasing profit. At present, the customs has handed over the cigarettes to relevant departments for further processing.

Customs reminds: Cigarettes are articles restricted by the state. Passengers from Hong Kong and Macao and mainland residents who travel to and from Hong Kong and Macao for private reasons can bring 200 cigarettes,50 cigars or 250 grams of cut tobacco into the country duty-free; Other passengers can bring 400 cigarettes,100 cigars or 500 grams of cut tobacco into the country duty-free.

Before shopping overseas, passengers should know the relevant regulations of the state on imported goods, so as to avoid illegal acts and even constitute smuggling crimes.

大连周水子国际空运机场海关查货1.18万支香烟

       近日，大连周水子机场海关监管进境航班旅客时，连续在两名旅客的行李中查获违规携带香烟59条，共1.18万支。

       海关关员在监管进境旅客行李物品时，发现前后两名旅客的行李物品X光机图像十分相似，且未向海关申报。海关关员随即进行开箱查验，发现该两名旅客行李内均装有大量香烟。

       经进一步清点，共有59条、1.18万支。两名旅客承认携带上述物品是为了代购谋利。目前，该关已将这批香烟移交有关部门做进一步处理。

       海关提醒：香烟属于国家限制进境物品。香港、澳门地区旅客及因私往来香港、澳门地区的内地居民，可免税携带香烟200支，或雪茄50支，或烟丝250克进境；其他旅客可免税携带香烟400支，或雪茄100支，或烟丝500克进境。

       旅客在海外购物前，应了解国家关于进境物品的相关规定，避免产生违法行为，甚至构成走私犯罪。
