Canadian truck international transportation giant filed for bankruptcy



Logistics enterprises go bankrupt and close down frequently, which highlights the downturn of transportation market. The decline of an enterprise is not only the end of an individual, but also the livelihood of thousands of families.


Once won the Top 500 Best Growth Enterprises in Canada (2019) Pride Group, a Canadian truck transportation giant, filed for bankruptcy protection due to debt problems.


According to lenders, the truck carrier and leasing giant owe a total of about 1.6 billion Canadian dollars and 637 million US dollars, totaling about 1.81 billion US dollars.


Pride Group, a leading company in Canada's truck transportation industry, formally filed for bankruptcy protection under Canada's Corporate Creditor Arrangement Act (CCAA) after facing a US $100 million compensation lawsuit filed by Mitsubishi Capital.


Pride Group said in a press release that it established governance controls and monitoring, and developed a restructuring plan to maximize the interests of all stakeholders. The company firmly believes that this decision is in the best interests of employees, customers, business partners and other stakeholders.

       据贷方透露,这家卡车承运商和租赁巨头总共所欠债务约16亿加元和6.37亿美元,合计约18.1亿美元。


       加拿大卡车运输业的领军企业Pride Group,在面临三菱资本美方提出的1亿美元赔偿诉讼后,正式根据加拿大《公司债权人安排法》(CCAA)申请了破产保护。


       Pride Group在新闻稿中表示,建立治理控制和监控,并制定重组计划,以最大化满足所有利益相关者的利益。公司坚信此决策符合员工、客户、业务伙伴及其他利益相关者的最大利益。
