Canadian truck international transportation giant filed for bankruptcy

Once won the Top 500 Best Growth Enterprises in Canada (2019) Pride Group, a Canadian truck transportation giant, filed for bankruptcy protection due to debt problems.
According to lenders, the truck carrier and leasing giant owe a total of about 1.6 billion Canadian dollars and 637 million US dollars, totaling about 1.81 billion US dollars.
Pride Group, a leading company in Canada's truck transportation industry, formally filed for bankruptcy protection under Canada's Corporate Creditor Arrangement Act (CCAA) after facing a US $100 million compensation lawsuit filed by Mitsubishi Capital.
Pride Group said in a press release that it established governance controls and monitoring, and developed a restructuring plan to maximize the interests of all stakeholders. The company firmly believes that this decision is in the best interests of employees, customers, business partners and other stakeholders.
