CMA CGM cooperates with Italian multimodal transport company
CMA CGM announced that it will establish a strategic joint venture with Italian multimodal transport company GTS for decarbonization transportation and logistics services in Europe. The newly established joint venture, called ECN (European Container Network), will provide innovative and sustainable transportation solutions for container enterprises in Italy and Europe.
By leveraging GTS 'expertise and network in Italy and other European countries, as well as CMA CGM's global shipping capabilities, the joint venture will provide integrated door-to-door transportation services to the entire market, improving efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.
The joint venture will focus on expanding multimodal transport options, optimizing supply chain processes and driving innovation in the transport industry. In a commitment to sustainability, the partnership will prioritize environmental practices and technologies to minimize environmental impacts.
The joint venture initially focused on the Italian market, but promoted rapid growth across Europe, and they are committed to making customers' supply chains as green and reliable as possible.
