Shenzhen-Budapest regular international air cargo route officially opened

On March 29th, Shenzhen Airport and Sinotrans officially opened the "Shenzhen-Budapest" regular cargo route. This route is the first international cargo route and cross-border e-commerce air transport line newly opened by Shenzhen Airport this year, and it is also the first cargo route opened by Shenzhen Airport to Hungary, which has set up a new channel for economic and trade exchanges between Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and Eastern European countries.

It is reported that the route is operated by Uzbekistan Airlines, with three departures per week and a weekly outbound capacity of over 170 tons. It mainly carries local cross-border e-commerce, communication electronics, semiconductors and other goods in Shenzhen, of which cross-border e-commerce goods from Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area account for more than 70%. At present, there are more than 40 cargo flights between Shenzhen and Europe every week.

Budapest is the capital of Hungary. As the first European country to sign the "Belt and Road" cooperation document with China, Hungary is not only an important transportation hub in Central and Eastern Europe, but also an important logistics distribution center and transit place in Europe. After the opening of this route, it will better meet the international logistics and transportation needs of cross-border e-commerce enterprises in the Pearl River Delta and further promote the coordinated development of cross-border e-commerce and cross-border logistics between China and Europe.

Sinotrans is the first listed company in the domestic air cargo forwarding industry and an important strategic customer for the development of aviation logistics at Shenzhen Airport. Both parties will actively promote the opening of more cargo routes from Shenzhen to Southeast Asia, Central and South America, and accelerate the construction of Sinotrans's route operation base in Shenzhen, which focuses on high-end manufacturing, biomedicine, fresh cold chain and cross-border e-commerce.

In addition to the newly opened Shenzhen-Budapest route, Shenzhen Airport also encrypted three international cargo routes from Shenzhen to Singapore, Madrid and Riyadh in the first quarter, and the number of navigation points of international and regional cargo routes increased to 37, with more than 320 international cargo flights every week. Rich route network and continuously increasing capacity guarantee have driven the steady growth of airport cargo business.
