Wanhai Shipping held a naming ceremony
Wanhai Shipping recently held the naming ceremony of Wanhai A15 ship at Samsung Heavy Industries Geoje Shipyard, which coincided with the charity event on March 29th. The ceremony was co-chaired by S.A. Choi, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Heavy Industries, and Tommy Hsieh, President of Wanhai Shipping.
After the ceremony, Wanhai A15 was delivered at Geoje Shipyard and began to go to Shanghai Port to join Wanhai Shipping's service "AA7" from Asia to the east coast of North America.
In addition, the Wanhai A15 is the eighth in the 13100teu series of container ships jointly built by Wanhai Shipping and Samsung Heavy Industries. These ships have a total length of 335 meters, a width of 51 meters and a draft of 16 meters. They are equipped with environmentally friendly engines aimed at improving energy efficiency and saving fuel.
Based on the management philosophy of "environmental protection" and "business continuity", Wanhai Shipping aims to improve operational efficiency while minimizing the impact on the environment. With the gradual addition of 13100 TEU series ships, Wanhai Shipping hopes to improve its competitiveness and strengthen its long-distance service operation.
In addition to naming the new ship, the Taiwan-based shipping company also supports the local community by donating money to the Korean Unified Child Welfare Center.
