Shipping container exports from 18 Asian countries to the US have increased significantly

Container exports surged 29.4% year-on-year to 1.6 million TEUs, driven by strong demand, according to the Japan Maritime Centre (JMC) using the Port Import and Export Reporting Service (PIERS), according to the Japan International Freight Forwarders Association (JIFFA).

In the first two months of this year, these exports totaled 3.34 million TEUs, up 22% year-on-year.

Almost all 18 economies saw double-digit growth in container exports, with Chinese mainland's container exports rising 29.5 percent to 883,693 TEUs, South Korea's 14.1 percent to 91,743 TEUs, Taiwan's 20.3 percent to 55,982 TEUs and Japan's 14.3 percent to 54,620 TEUs.

In addition, the volume of freight from Southeast Asia increased significantly, totaling 403,052 TEUs, an increase of 41.9%. Among them, Vietnam exported 214,177 TEUs, an increase of 46.9%, Thailand exported 76,627 TEUs, an increase of 41.6%, Indonesia exported 39,118 TEUs, an increase of 27.4%, and Malaysia exported 35,243 TEUs, an increase of 52%.

South Asia exported 106,650 TEUs, an increase of 17.5%, of which India exported 81,226 TEUs, an increase of 16.1%.

       根据日本国际货运代理协会(JIFFA)的数据，根据日本海事中心(JMC)使用港口进出口报告服务(PIERS)的数据，在强劲需求的推动下，集装箱出口同比激增29.4%，达到160万标准箱。

       几乎所有18个经济体的集装箱出口都出现了两位数的增长，其中中国大陆的集装箱出口增长29.5%，达到883693标准箱，韩国增长14.1%，达到91743标准箱，中国台湾增长20.3%，达到55982标准箱，日本增长14.3%，达到54620标准箱。

       此外，来自东南亚的货运量大幅增长，总计403052标准箱，增长41.9%。其中，越南出口214177个标准箱，增长46.9%，泰国出口76627个标准箱，增长41.6%，印度尼西亚出口39118个标准箱，增长27.4%，马来西亚出口35243个标准箱，增长52%。

       南亚地区集装箱出口106650个标准箱，增长17.5%，其中印度81226个标准箱，增长16.1%。
