FedEx Expands China Service Center


On March 19,2024, FedEx announced the completion of the latest upgrade of its gateway facility in Shenzhen, China. By renovating and expanding the import warehouse, the updated gateway will further improve the import business and provide customs clearance efficiency for customers in South China.


Located at Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, Shenzhen International Gateway handles import and export parcels in parts of South China and Southwest China. The import warehouse is now equipped with advanced electronic warehouses and additional sorting belts. The gateway covers an area of more than 4,500 square meters, doubling the sorting capacity of parcels and documents, while increasing freight handling capacity by 50%.


Robert Chu, vice president of operations in FedEx China, said:"The expanded portal will further optimize our customs clearance process in Shenzhen and southern China. As it creates a smarter supply chain for Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and other regions, it will provide customers with an efficient and smooth customs clearance experience and enhance their competitiveness in the international market."


Since entering the Chinese market in 1984, FedEx has continuously strengthened its operating facilities. In addition, its air and ground network also meets the increasing cargo demand and supports the continuous growth of foreign trade. As the first international express company to operate cargo flights at Shenzhen Baoan International Airport, FedEx currently operates 10 international flights in Shenzhen every week, connecting the Asian and American markets.


FedEx will continue to optimize its facilities in Shenzhen, explore and invest in various new technologies to improve operational efficiency, and further shorten customs clearance time to help enterprises seize opportunities in the international market.

       2024年3月19日,联邦快递宣布完成其位于中国深圳的网关设施的最新升级。通过翻新和扩建进口仓库,更新后的网关将进一步改善进口业务,并为华南地区的客户提供清关效率。


       深圳国际门户位于深圳宝安国际机场,主要负责处理华南和西南部分地区的进出口包裹。进口仓库现在配备了先进的电子仓库和额外的分拣带。该网关的占地面积达到4500多平方米,使包裹和文件的分拣能力翻了一番,同时货运处理能力提高了50%。


       联邦快递中国区运营副总裁Robert Chu表示:“扩建后的门户将进一步优化我们在深圳和中国南部的清关流程。随着它为广东-香港-马考大湾区和其他地区创建更智能的供应链,它将为客户提供高效、顺畅的清关体验,增强他们在国际市场上的竞争力。”
