International rail service between Germany and the Netherlands opened


Kombiverkehr KG is expanding its service between Germany and the Netherlands, running new trains between Rotterdam and K ö ln-Eifeltor.


In Rotterdam, trains will be at the Rail Service Centre (RSC) terminal in Wahaven. The first train will depart from the Dutch city on March 12 and arrive at K ö ln-Eifeltor12 hours later.


The new service starts in two directions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and there are also connecting flights from RSC Continental Terminal to parts near Rotterdam Port.


In addition, within Germany, there are connections to Munich, Ulm, Cornwestheim and Basel. P400 loading units can be used for multimodal transport, and all dangerous goods except Class 7 dangerous goods can be transported.


Kombiverkehr KG's traction partner is KombiRail Europe.


"This new train product shows how we can take advantage of our network. K ö ln-Eifeltor is one of our largest hub terminals in Germany and has many domestic and international transportation options," said Andrea de Ambrogi, sales director of Kombiverkehr KG.
