Chinese liner docked at 20,000 TEU ships in Italian ports for the first time

COSCO Shipping plans to send 20,000 TEU ships to visit Las Pecia port regularly. The upcoming arrival of COSCO Aries marks the first time that a Chinese liner has docked with such a large container ship in an Italian port.

Starting in March, COSCO 20000teu container ships will establish a stable presence at the port of Las Pecia. The Chinese liner company recently announced plans to bring four of these ships into the Asian Mediterranean Service (AEM1) rotation.

The length of each ship is about 400 meters, which is impressive. As the shipping industry adapts to new norms and requirements, including the necessity of sailing in Africa, this strategic decision reflects the changing pattern of maritime transportation.

As a result, two new stand-alone loops will be introduced in the Mediterranean to accommodate the deployment of larger-capacity container ships.

"We are proud and ready to welcome COSCO Shipping Aries, the first of a series of super-large container ships deployed by Chinese carriers in AEM1 (MED1) service operated within Ocean Alliance.        从3月开始，中远20000teu集装箱船将在拉斯佩齐亚港建立稳定的存在。这家中国班轮公司最近宣布，计划将这些船的四艘纳入亚洲地中海服务(AEM1)轮转。

       每艘船的长度约为400米，令人印象深刻。随着航运业适应新的规范和要求，包括在非洲航行的必要性，这一战略决策反映了海上运输不断变化的格局。

       因此，将在地中海引入两个新的独立环路，以容纳更大容量的集装箱船的部署。
