German International Shipping Company will adjust MSW service

German shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has announced changes its Mediterranean to West Coast of South America (MSW) service, which will take effect on March 20.

Hapag-Lloyd will introduce the Spanish port of Vigo as the first port of call in the Mediterranean into the MSW rotation. With this addition, Hamburg's route aims to provide faster shipping times for northern Spain and Portuguese markets.

In addition, Morocco's Tangier port will now be dedicated as a transit hub and will no longer be included in the new rotation, according to the company. In addition, Heberote will also dock at the Italian port of Salerno, expanding freight coverage from northern Italy to southern Italy.
