Container throughput of Saudi ports increased in July

The Saudi Port Authority (Mawani) reported a combined container throughput of 753,496 TEUs in July, 19 percent higher than the same period last year. More specifically, Mawani's July figures showed export containers increased 34.56 percent from 185,791 TEUs last year to 250,004 TEUs, and imports increased 30.09 percent from 180,329 TEUs to 234,592 TEUs.

In addition, Mawani's annual growth rate in its trans-shipment sector was 0.41 percent, compared with 268,901 TEUs in July 2023. On the other hand, freight volume in July fell 9.84 percent from 27,836,906 tonnes in the same period last year to 25,096,888 tonnes this year.

Vessel traffic was estimated at 1,017 in July, up 2.94 percent from 988 in the same period last year, and the number of passengers was 57,730, up 32.57 percent year-on-year.

沙特港口7月份集装箱吞吐量增加

      沙特港口管理局（Mawani）报告称，7月份的综合集装箱吞吐量为753,496标准箱，比去年同期的吞吐量高出19%。Mawani7月份的数据显示，出口集装箱从去年的185,791标准箱增加到250,004标准箱，增长了34.56%，进口集装箱从180,329标准箱增加到234,592标准箱，增长了30.09%。

       此外，其转运部门的年增长率为0.41%，2023年7月为268,901标准箱。与此同时，7月份的货运量从去年同期的27,836,906吨下降到今年的25,096,888吨，下降了9.84%。

       据悉，7月的船舶交通量估算为1,017艘，比去年同期的988艘增加2.94%，乘客人数为57,730人次，同比增长32.57%。
