Attention! Maersk and CMA CGM suspended the port call
Recently, Maersk and CMA CGM have informed their customers that their joint Bossa Nova/SIRIUS service connecting the Mediterranean Sea and the east coast of South America will be adjusted soon.
From March 14th, Rio de Janeiro Port (southbound) will suspend its docking until July, with the specific date to be confirmed.
According to CMA CGM, these challenges stem from the maintenance work of Santos BTP Pier 1 after the accident and the ongoing public works in Navegantes.
Maersk pointed out in a statement:"Operational challenges are expected to last at least until the second quarter of 2024。”
It is reported that the revised port rotation order is: Algeciras (Spain), Tangier (Morocco), El Salvador (Brazil), Santos (Brazil), Paranagua (Brazil), Itapoa (Brazil), Paranagua (Brazil), Santos (Brazil), Itaguai (Brazil), Tangier (Morocco),Algeciras (Spain).
