Maersk announces resumption of shipments from Port Sudan!

Maersk announced on March 13 that it had resumed accepting new bookings to and from Port Sudan.

Since mid-November last year, there have been frequent attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea, and many cargo ships have been attacked in the Red Sea, Mande Strait and nearby waters. At present, the "Red Sea threat" continues, and many important ports around it have also been seriously affected, including Aden Port and Sudan Port.

Maersk said that due to the unstable situation in the Red Sea and Mande Strait, it only accepted reservations from Port Sudan to Europe. Now it has reopened reservations from Port Sudan to the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Africa.

As the situation in the Red Sea and its surrounding areas remains grim, all Maersk goods are still transported around the Cape of Good Hope.

       马士基于3月13日发布公告，表示已恢复接受往返苏丹港的新预订。

       去年11月中旬起，红海地区频频发生商船遇袭事件，多船货轮在红海、曼德海峡及附近海域遇袭。目前，“红海威胁”仍在持续，周围的许多重要港口也受到了严重的影响，包括亚丁港、苏丹港等。

       马士基表示，由于红海及曼德海峡不稳定的局势，之前只接受苏丹港-欧洲往返的预订。现已重新开放苏丹港-中东、亚太和非洲地区往返的预订受理。

       由于红海及其周边地区的局势依旧较为严峻，马士基所有货物的运输仍绕行好望角。

       马士基将继续监测红海及其周边地区的情况，并会及时通知客户货物的最新变化。
