International shipping company ONE will set up a new headquarters in Dubai

Ocean Network Express (ONE), the sixth largest container shipping company in the world, has opened its new regional headquarters in West Asia in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The West Asia regional headquarters office will serve as the central hub of ONE in the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and East Africa, including key functions such as business activities, customer service and digitalization. In addition, a team focusing on developing regional trade partnerships and exploring new business opportunities in the region will be located in the new headquarters.

Jeremy Nixon, CEO of ONE, said:"The Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Africa have become increasingly important growth markets for ONE, both for our cross-regional customers and deep-sea network customers. Therefore, it is appropriate for ONE to transfer regional supervision from Singapore to Dubai by setting up new RHQ offices near these major markets."

Sundeep Sibal has been appointed regional director for the West Asia regional headquarters and will take over on April 1. "I am very honoured to be entrusted with leading ONE's efforts in this dynamic and growing region. In 2024, we expect to deploy several new services, including West Indies-North America (WIN) service, Indian Ocean-Mediterranean (IOM) service and an expanded Asian internal loop network."

Sibal joined ONE in 2018 as head of trans-Pacific and trans-Atlantic trade. He is currently head of global business and services management, leading the transformation of global sales and services. Previously, he was responsible for MOL's regional operations in the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia.

       ONE首席执行官Jeremy Nixon表示:“中东、印度次大陆和东非地区已成为ONE日益重要的增长市场，无论是对我们的跨区域客户还是深海网络客户而言。因此，ONE现在通过在这些主要市场附近设立新的RHQ办事处，将该地区的区域监管从新加坡转移到迪拜是合适的。”
