Saudi International Maritime Port Authority launches PCS system

The Saudi Port Authority (Mawani) has launched the Port Community System (PCS) as part of the integrated logistics platform "Logisti", which aims to provide more than 250 electronic services to ports operated by Mawani in Saudi Arabia.

During the launch of the new PCS, Omar Hariri, Chairman of Saudi Port Authority, emphasized Mawani's commitment to using technology to bring benefits to maritime transportation, improve operational efficiency in Saudi ports, and simplify procedures to support logistics services and maritime transportation.

According to Mawani's statement, it marks a major leap forward in achieving shared economic and social goals by establishing a unified digital platform. The new PCS is designed in accordance with international standards and centralizes administrative transactions between public and private sector stakeholders, the statement said.

The Port Community System, unveiled together with the Third International Technical Conference "Leap 24”, aims to automate all port operational processes, facilitate data exchange between government and private entities, standardize Saudi port procedures and enhance business interaction between government users and service providers.

In addition, the system will enhance the experience of stakeholders and beneficiaries, enhance the competitiveness of the Saudi maritime transport sector and increase the productivity of the port sector. These efforts are in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy (NTLS), which aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global logistics hub connecting three continents.
