Houthi will continue to attack British ships

On February 18, Houthi armed forces in Yemen successfully fired anti-ship missiles and hit the British cargo ship Rubimar, causing it to sink on March 1. The armed group said on Sunday that it would continue to attack British ships in the Gulf of Aden. 

"Yemen will continue to sink more British ships and charge all impact or other damage to the British bill. Britain is a rogue state that attacks Yemen and cooperates with the United States to support ongoing crimes against civilians in Gaza." Hussein Ezi, deputy foreign minister of Houthi armed forces, posted on social media.

Since November last year, Houthi armed forces have repeatedly fired drones and missiles at international merchant ships, claiming that these actions are to support the Palestinian people and oppose Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea have severely disrupted global shipping, forcing shipping companies to take the longer and more expensive route around the Cape of Good Hope in Africa. They have also raised fears that the war between Israel and Hamas could widen and destabilize the entire Middle East.

In January, the United States and Britain began strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen in retaliation for their successive attacks on ships in the Red Sea. 

胡塞武装将继续袭击英国船只

       2月18日，也门胡塞武装成功发射反舰导弹击中了英国的“鲁比马尔”号货船，导致其于3月1日沉没。该武装组织于周日称将继续在亚丁湾对英国船只发动袭击。

       “也门将继续击沉更多英国船只，并将所有影响或其他损害计入英国的账单中。英国是一个流氓国家，它袭击也门并与美国合作，支持对加沙平民的持续犯罪。”胡塞武装外交部副部长侯赛因·埃齐在社交媒体发帖称。

       自去年11月起，胡塞武装多次向国际商船发射无人机和导弹，声称这些行动是为了声援巴勒斯坦人民，反对以色列在加沙地带的军事行动。

       红海商船遭受的袭击已经严重干扰了全球航运，迫使船运公司不得不选择绕行非洲好望角这一更长、更昂贵的航线。此外，这些袭击还引发了人们对以色列与哈马斯之间战争可能扩大，进而破坏整个中东地区稳定的担忧。

       今年1月，美国和英国开始对也门胡塞武装的目标进行打击，以报复他们对红海船只的连续袭击。
