Free shipping is the most important factor to promote Indonesian consumers' online shopping
According to a survey conducted by SleekFlow, free delivery or partial freight reduction is the biggest consideration for Indonesian consumers to choose to shop on e-commerce platform, and 85.5% of the respondents agree with this view.
In addition to postage, 70% of respondents choose online shopping because there are more promotional activities; 42% of the respondents chose online shopping because it provides multiple payment methods. 40% of the respondents chose brands or official stores; 15.5% of the respondents will choose online shopping because the return process is more convenient. Another 14.5% of the respondents consider specialty stores; 13.5% of the respondents thought the user interface (UI) or visual display was easy to use. Warranty claims that can provide easier came last, and only 11.5% of the respondents considered these factors when using the e-commerce platform.
The survey results also show that fashion is the most frequently purchased commodity by customers, accounting for 86.7%; Followed by electronic products and food and beverage, accounting for 31.1% and 27.8% respectively.
