DHL International Express achieves 100% green electricity supply

Recently, the rooftop distributed photovoltaic power station of DHL Express Dalian Service Center was officially put into operation and realized full-capacity grid-connected power generation, realizing 100% green power supply and further accelerating the decarbonization process of the company.

The rooftop distributed photovoltaic power station put into operation this time has a total area of 2,800 square meters, an installed capacity of 300 kW and an annual power generation capacity of 430,000 kWh, which can provide stable and reliable power supply for Dalian Service Center, fully meet the daily power demand, and realize the surplus power access to the Internet.

It is estimated that after photovoltaic power supply, Dalian Service Center can reduce coal burning by more than 170 tons and reduce emissions by nearly 390 tons every year, which is equivalent to planting more than 23,000 trees. At the same time, roof photovoltaic panels also improve the heat insulation of the roof, which can effectively reduce the internal temperature of buildings in summer, not only helping to reduce the energy consumption generated by air conditioners, but also improving the working environment of employees.

Clean operation is an important part of DHL Group's ESG development roadmap. DHL Group will invest 7 billion euros to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 2030. Among them, building more environmentally friendly buildings is one of the important measures. From 2021, all new buildings owned by the Group will use carbon neutral design.

In China, DHL Express continues to promote clean operation, including green renovation of existing facilities, electrification of fleet, afforestation, and "green certification" of employees.

DHL国际快递实现100%绿电供应

       日前，DHL快递大连服务中心屋顶分布式光伏发电站正式投运并实现全容量并网发电，实现100%绿电供应，进一步加快公司的去碳化进程。

       本次投运的屋顶分布式光伏发电站总面积为2800平方米，装机容量300千瓦，年发电量达43万度，可为大连服务中心提供稳定可靠的电力供应，完全满足日常用电需求，并实现余电上网。

       据估算，光伏供电后，大连服务中心每年可减少煤炭燃烧超过170吨、减排近390吨，相当于植树23000余棵。同时，屋顶光伏板也改善了屋顶的隔热情况，可在夏季有效降低建筑物内部温度，不仅助力减少空调等产生的能耗，也改善了员工的工作环境。

       清洁运营是DHL集团ESG发展路线图中的重要组成部分。DHL集团将至2030年投资70亿欧元，用于减少二氧化碳排放。其中，建设更多环保建筑是重要举措之一。自2021年起，集团全部自有新建建筑都将使用碳中和设计。

      在中国区，DHL快递持续推进清洁运营，包括对现有设施的绿色改造、车队电气化、植树造林，以及员工的“绿色认证”等。
