According to CCTV news reports, within 24 hours, Houthi armed forces attacked three American and British ships and shot down a U.S. drone. The United States and Britain also carried out air strikes on Houthi armed areas, further escalating tensions in the Red Sea.
On the evening of 19th local time in Yemen, Yahya Sarea, spokesman of Houthi armed forces in Yemen, issued a statement saying that Houthi armed forces hit two American ships with missiles and hit them accurately.
The two American ships are the Sea Champion and Navis Fortuna. Yahya Sarea also said in his statement that the British cargo ship Rubymar, which had been attacked before, had completely sunk.
Earlier, on the morning of 19th local time in Yemen, Yahya Salea, spokesman of Houthi armed forces in Yemen, issued a statement saying that Houthi armed forces shot down a U.S. MQ-9"Reaper" drone through missiles in Hodeidah province under their control, and attacked the Rubymar freighter through missiles, causing serious damage to the ship.
According to the British Maritime Trade Organization, reports have been received that the crew has abandoned the ship. This is the first time that a crew member has been forced to abandon the ship and retreat due to the Houthi attack. Yahyasarea statement said that Houthi were responsible for the attack.
As the Red Sea route is still threatened by Houthi armed forces in Yemen, it is expected that navigation in the Red Sea will not resume in the short term.

也门当地时间19日晚间，也门胡塞武装发言人叶海亚·萨雷亚发表声明称，胡塞武装通过导弹击了两艘美国船只，并精准命中。
这两艘美国船只分别是“海上冠军”号(Sea Champion)和“纳维斯·福尔图纳”号(Navis Fortuna)。叶海亚·萨雷亚在声明中还表示，此前遭袭的英国“红宝石”号货轮(Rubymar)已经完全沉没。
此前，也门当地时间19日上午，也门胡塞武装发言人叶海亚·萨雷亚发表声明称，胡塞武装在其控制的荷台达省通过导弹击落了一架美军MQ-9“死神”无人机，并通过导弹袭击了Rubymar号货轮，致该船严重损毁。
据英国海上贸易组织称，已收到报告称船员已弃船。这是第一次有船员因胡塞武装袭击被迫弃船撤退。叶海亚萨雷亚声明称，胡塞武装对此次袭击负责。
由于红海这条航线仍然受到也门胡塞武装的威胁，预计短期内无法恢复在红海的航行。
