Maersk launched the Middle East-Europe route in mid-February

Maersk launched a new weekly route connecting the Middle East and Europe in mid-February. The new service, called ME8, will sail through the Cape of Good Hope, and its rotation time is as follows:

Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates-Doha, Qatar-Daman, Saudi Arabia-Jubail, Saudi Arabia-Jebel Ali, United Arab Emirates-Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates-Dukum, Oman-Salalah, Morocco-Port Tangier, Egypt-Port Said, Barcelona, Spain-Port Tangier, Morocco-Algeciras, Spain-Salalah, Oman.

The first westbound voyage is San Clement 407W, departing from Doha on February 14, and the first eastbound voyage will be Constantino P II 407E, departing from Port Said on February 17,2024.

The Danish ocean shipping company said the new service will provide more connectivity and flexibility to its customers' supply chains, providing solutions for cargo from the Persian Gulf to the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, and vice versa.

In addition, ME8 services provide greater coverage between the Western and Eastern Mediterranean, while Port Tangier and Port Said are transit hubs in Europe, and Salalah and Jebel Ali are transit hubs in the Middle East.

       第一次西行航行是圣克莱门特号407W号，于2月14日从多哈出发，第一次东行航行将是君士坦丁诺号P II号407E号，于2024年2月17日从塞得港出发。

       这家丹麦海洋航运公司表示，这项新服务将为其客户的供应链提供更多的连接性和灵活性，为从波斯湾到西地中海和东地中海的货物提供解决方案，反之亦然。

       此外，ME8服务在西地中海和东地中海之间提供更大的覆盖范围，而丹吉尔港和塞得港是欧洲的转运枢纽，塞拉莱和杰贝阿里是中东的转运枢纽。
