The airlift airport was hit by storm, many cargo planes were diverted!

It is reported that Anchorage Airport in Alaska is currently suffering from another snowstorm, which caused a large number of cargo planes to be diverted and caused some cargo delays.

According to local media reports, Anchorage is suffering from about 2.6 meters of snow. More than 30 cargo flights were diverted last Sunday. Most of the planes were bound for Fairbanks, while others were bound for airports such as Narita (Tokyo), Taipei, Portland, Seattle, Vancouver and Los Angeles. There are currently nine 747F and two 777F stranded in Fairbanks, Alaska.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Notices of Navigation warned pilots yesterday that aircraft with wingspans exceeding 210 feet, mainly wide-body aircraft, are prohibited from landing at the airport, except for flights operated by FedEx, UPS and Amazon.

Sean Dolan, an investor in Anchorage Airport (ANC) and CEO of NorthLink Aviation, said:"If you have booked a parking space at ANC, such as FedEx, UPS and Amazon, then you can land in the event of a storm. If you don't reserve a parking space, once the parking space is full, you will probably be diverted."

Sean Dolan also said:"It is hoped that NorthLink will be put into operation in the fourth quarter of this year. When we can restart construction is the key to when we have operational capability."
