Maersk is overtaken by MSC!
According to the latest data from Alphaliner, there are 6,789 container ships in operation in the world (of which 5,984 are pure container ships), with a total capacity of 28.57 million TEU, equivalent to 340 million deadweight tons.
The top 12 liner companies are: Mediterranean Shipping (1st), Maersk Line (2nd), CMA CGM Shipping (3rd), COSCO Shipping (4th), Hapag-Lloyd (5th), ONE(6th), Evergreen Shipping (7th), HMM(8th), Yangming Shipping (9th), ZIM Shipping (10th), Wanhai Shipping (11th), Pacific Shipping (12th).
Among them, MSC received 14 super-large container ships and 26 new Panamanian ships last year. This means that MSC has increased its capacity by more than 1 million TEU in the past 12 months alone, accounting for 47.4% of the global capacity increase, and its capacity increase in one year alone is enough to cross the eighth place in the world rankings.
It is reported that after receiving a new ship named MSC ORSOLA with 16550TEU on January 4th, the capacity controlled by MSC has reached an astonishing 5649028TEU.Compared with Maersk's 4139473TEU, it is 1509555TEU more.
In contrast, second-ranked Maersk (MSK) has seen a slightly slower performance. Maersk's fleet capacity fell by 112,500 TEU (-2.7%) last year. In terms of new ships, Maersk's orders for new ships are small, with only 36 ships, equivalent to a capacity of 453,000 TEU.
The capacity of CMA not only increased by 5.4% in 2023, but also holds orders for 110 new ships, which is equivalent to 1.2 million TEU. Therefore, CMA is still expected to surpass Maersk and become the second largest container transportation company in the world in the future.
马士基排名被MSC超越!
据Alphaliner最新数据显示,全球正在运营的集装箱船数量共计6789艘(其中5984艘为纯集装箱船),总运力为2857万TEU,折合约3.4亿载重吨。
前十二大班轮公司分别是:地中海航运(第1)、马士基航运(第2)、达飞海运(第3)、中远海运(第4)、赫伯罗特(第5)、ONE(第6)、长荣海运(第7)、HMM(第8)、阳明海运(第9)、以星航运(第10)、万海航运(第11)、太平船务(第12)。
其中地中海航运(MSC)在去年共接收了14艘超大型集装箱船以及26艘新巴拿马型船。这意味着MSC仅在过去12个月内就增加了超过100万TEU的运力,占到全球运力增量的47.4%,并且其单单一年内增加的运力就足以跨身到全球排行的第八名。
据了解,在1月4日接收一船16550TEU的名为MSC ORSOLA的新造船后,MSC所掌控的运力已经达到了惊人的5649028TEU。相较于目前马士基的4139473TEU多出了1509555TEU。
相比之下,排名第二的马士基(MSK)运力表现稍显低迷。马士基船队运力在去年减少了112500 TEU(-2.7%)。在新船方面,马士基的新船订单量不多,仅有36船船,相当于运力45.3万TEU。
而达飞轮船(CMA)的运力在2023年不仅运力增长了5.4%,目前还持有110艘新船订单,新船运力相当于120万TEU。因此,未来达飞轮船仍有望超越马士基,成为全球第二大集运公司。
