Oman will restart this international shipping container terminal

The Asyad Group has begun operations at Asyad Container Terminal-Duqm, which will be operated by Asyad Ports, the group's ports and terminals division.

Technically speaking, Asyad Container Terminal has advanced technologies such as remote operation of 65-ton double lifting STS crane,50-ton RTG crane, optical fiber data transmission system and intelligent driving system.

In addition, the terminal infrastructure includes three berths, which can handle three ships at the same time. The length of the terminal is over 1,000 meters, and the storage capacity of the yard is 26,000 TEU and more than 600 refrigerated containers.

During the pilot phase, the terminal effectively handled the cargo of large container ships from Asia and Europe, demonstrating its readiness and technical capability. This operational milestone shows that the terminal has the capacity to accommodate ships of various sizes and uses and meet the increasing demand of local, regional and global import and export activities.

Duqm Special Economic Zone Acting CEO Ahmed Akaak stressed the importance of the new terminal to Oman's economic diversification efforts. He stressed that the joint venture would unlock investment opportunities by linking the Duqm Special Economic Zone with global shipping companies and taking advantage of Duqm's strategic position at the crossroads of major international shipping corridors.

Duqm Port is expected to develop into an important logistics hub in the next few years, meeting the needs of global shipping companies from Asia and Europe, reflecting Oman's increased competitiveness and the success of port integration.

      Asyad集团已开始在Asyad集装箱码头-Duqm运营，该码头将由该集团的港口和码头部门Asyad Ports运营。

       从技术上讲，Asyad集装箱码头具有远程操作的65吨双升降STS起重机，50吨RTG起重机，以及光纤数据传输系统和智能驾驶系统等先进技术。

       此外，码头的基础设施包括三个泊位，可以同时处理三艘船，码头长度超过1000米，堆场储存容量为26,000 TEU和600多个冷藏集装箱。

      在试验阶段，该码头有效地处理了来自亚洲和欧洲的大型集装箱船的货物，显示了其准备和技术能力。这一运营里程碑表明，该码头有能力容纳各种尺寸和用途的船舶，满足当地、区域和全球进出口活动日益增长的需求。

       Duqm经济特区代理首席执行官Ahmed Akaak强调了新码头对阿曼经济多样化努力的重要性。他强调，通过将杜库姆经济特区与全球航运公司连接起来，利用杜库姆在主要国际航运通道十字路口的战略位置，该合资企业将释放投资机会。

       Duqm港预计将在未来几年发展成为一个重要的物流中心，满足来自亚洲和欧洲的全球航运公司的需求，这反映了阿曼竞争力的增强和港口整合的成功。
