OOCL announces its operating results in the fourth quarter of 2023! 


Recently, OOCL released its operating results for the fourth quarter of 2023: As of December 31,2023, the total revenue in the fourth quarter decreased by 49% compared with the same period of last year, to $1.622 billion. The total cargo capacity increased by 7.2%, and the carrying capacity increased by 9.1%. The overall carrying rate decreased by 1.5% compared with the same period of 2022. Compared with the fourth quarter of last year, the overall average revenue per TEU decreased by 52.5%.


OOCL delivered 7.33 million TEUs in 2023, with the total cargo capacity and carrying capacity increasing by 2.9% and 8%, the overall carrying rate decreasing by 4% compared with the same period of 2022, and the overall average revenue per TEUs decreasing by 60.8% compared with the same period of last year. The total revenue in 2023 was $7.5 billion, down by 59.6% year-on-year.


In terms of revenue, OOCL declined in four major trade routes. Among them, the Pacific route achieved a total revenue of 2.53 billion US dollars, down 63.2% year-on-year; The Asia/Europe route achieved revenue of 1.62 billion US dollars, down 67.5% year-on-year; The Atlantic route achieved revenue of 840 million US dollars, down 41% year-on-year; The Asia/Australia-Asia route achieved revenue of $2.54 billion, down 52.7% year-on-year. This shows that the Asia/Australia-Asia route surpassed the Pacific route and became the highest revenue route of OOCL.

东方海外公布2023年第四季度营运业绩!


       近日,东方海外发布了2023年第四季度的营运业绩:截至2023年12月31日,第4季度总收入较去年同期减少49%,为16.22亿美元。总载货量上升7.2%,运载力上升9.1%。整体运载率较2022年同期下降1.5%。与去年第四季度相比,每TEU的整体平均收入下降了52.5%。


       东方海外在2023年运送了733万标准箱,总载货量及运载力分增加2.9%和8%,整体运载率较2022年同期下降4%,每个标准箱整体平均收入较去年同期减少60.8%。2023年的总收入为75亿美元,同比下降59.6%。


       从收入方面看,东方海外在四个主要贸易航线都出现了下降。其中太平洋航线实现总营收25.3亿美元,同比下降63.2%;亚洲/欧洲航线实现营收16.2亿美元,同比下降67.5%;大西洋航线实现营收8.4亿美元,同比下降41%;亚洲区内/澳亚航线实现营收25.4亿美元,同比下52.7%。这说明亚洲区内/澳亚航线超过了太平洋航线,成为东方海外营收最高的航线。
