A container ship accident involving several ports in China

According to foreign media, at about 11:35 pm on August 24th, a container ship "CONTSHIP UNO" collided with a Japanese freighter "IZUMI MARU" on its way from Osaka to Keelung, Taiwan Province. "IZUMI MARU" capsized, and three of the five crew members were rescued and two were missing. Search and rescue are underway.

It is understood that the container ship "CONTSHIP UNO", IMO: 9379026, built in 2007, with a capacity of 1118TEU and flying the flag of Liberia. The ship was deployed by TSL Dexiang on the Japanese route JTK2, carrying out the 23027N voyage, calling at Hong Kong, Shekou and other ports in China and then heading for Japan. In the future, it is expected that the ship will be adjusted to TSL Dexiang JTK3 route, involving Hong Kong, Nansha, Shekou, Xiamen and other ports.

According to the latest ship dynamic data, as of August 25th, the "CONTSHIP UNO" has been staying in the waters near Wakayama since the accident, and the subsequent shipping schedule may be delayed.
