MSK and HPL have announced the suspension of all Red Sea navigation

The global shipping crisis has been exacerbated in recent weeks by unrest in the Red Sea and frequent attacks on container ships.

On January 2,2024, Maersk announced its latest announcement that it had decided to continue to suspend navigation in the Red Sea and all transit through the Red Sea/Gulf of Aden until further notice. Two days ago, Maersk announced that it would suspend all ships passing through the Red Sea for 48 hours. Now it has decided to suspend all navigation in the Red Sea again, which means that Maersk's plan of "returning to the Red Sea" has failed!

Hapag-Lloyd, another shipping giant, decided to avoid the Suez Canal and the Red Sea. A spokesman for Hapag-Lloyd also stressed that it pays close attention to the situation in the Red Sea every day, but its ships will not pass through the Red Sea until January 9,2024.

Affected by the still unstable situation in the Red Sea, a series of effects are emerging.

According to the First Financial News, according to the shipping schedule of the European route of Yantian Port in Shenzhen in January 2024, Blank Saling occurred on January 15th, January 15th, January 18th, January 22nd and January 25th. Empty shift means that large ships can't dock at domestic ports, which means that there is no shipping space for freight forwarders and foreign trade enterprises.

MSK、HPL
