Attack again!MSC failed to pass through the Red Sea, and the capacity was tight and upgraded again

According to Cailian News, another container ship was attacked on Tuesday local time.MSC Mediterranean Line confirmed that its MSC United VIII container ship was attacked in the Red Sea.

It is reported that the incident occurred around 12:25 Universal Standard Time, when the ship was heading for Pakistan. All crew members are safe, no casualties reported, the ship is being evaluated.

Faced with the complicated situation in the Red Sea, many shipping companies have announced the collection of surcharges, including Transportation Interruption Surcharge (TDS), Red Sea Surcharge (RSC), Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) and so on.

Maersk said earlier that a 20-foot standard container shipped from China to Northern Europe is expected to pay a total of $700 extra fees, including $200 TDS and $500 PSS.

In the current turbulent situation in the Red Sea, even if Maersk and CMA are trying to resume the Red Sea route, they should pay attention to the possibility that their shipping will be interrupted again. If choose to bypass the Cape of Good Hope instead of passing through the Suez Canal, the one-way operation time of ships at sea will increase by nearly 10 days.
