Sudden! A merchant ship was attacked in the Arabian Sea!
Recently, Reuters quoted Ambry Company, a British maritime security company, as saying that a merchant ship associated with Israel exploded and caught fire after being hit by a drone in the Arabian Sea near the west coast of India on December 23, and the fire was extinguished without causing any casualties.
According to reports, the merchant ship flew the Liberian flag and carried chemicals. The last call was in Saudi Arabia, when it was indicated that its destination was India.
The British Maritime Trade Operations Office confirmed that the merchant ship exploded and caught fire after being attacked by drones in the southwest waters of Velavor, India. The fire has been extinguished and no casualties have been reported. Relevant investigations are underway, and nearby ships are advised to sail carefully.
According to India's Business Flag newspaper, 20 Indian crew members and one Vietnamese crew member were on board the attacked merchant ship. The Indian Coast Guard has sent ships to the incident area for verification and asked nearby ships to provide assistance to the merchant ship.
At present, no organization has claimed to have launched this attack.
