Attention! CMA imposes temporary restrictions on transhipment of refrigerated containers in Hong Kong 

According to The Loadstar, due to the expiration of the local permit under the Hong Kong Transhipment Cargo Exemption Scheme, CMA announced temporary restrictions on the transhipment of certain refrigerated or time-sensitive cargoes in Hong Kong, and its booking at the beginning of next year has been suspended.

The program typically covers six specific temperature-controlled commodities, including medicines and pharmaceuticals, frozen meat and poultry.

It is reported that under the Hong Kong Transhipment Cargo Exemption Scheme, shipping companies, transport companies, airlines and their designated freight forwarders registered with the Trade and Industry Department of Hong Kong can be exempted from various import and export licence requirements for handling transhipment cargoes in Hong Kong subject to certain conditions.

CMA said booking for the six items would not be accepted for the first two weeks of January as the scheme would require a new licence after December 31 to take effect. 

CMA has announced that three voyages have been affected:"OOCL Genoa" on CIX route, which is expected to arrive in Hong Kong on January 4;"Cosco Thailand" on the AS6 route is expected to arrive on January 7;"Xin Hong Kong" on AS6 route is expected to arrive on January 14th. 

注意！达飞对香港冷藏箱转运实施临时限制

       据The Loadstar报道，由于在香港转运货物豁免计划下的当地许可到期，达飞宣布对若干冷藏货物或时效性货物在香港转运实施临时限制，其明年初的订舱已暂停。

       该计划通常涵盖六种特定的温控商品，包括药物及药品、冷冻肉类和家禽。

       据悉，根据香港转运货物豁免计划，在香港工业贸易署注册的船公司、运输公司、航空公司及其指定货运代理，在满足若干条件的情况下，可豁免在香港处理转运货物的各项进出口许可证规定。

       达飞表示，由于该计划需要在12月31日之后获得新的许可证才能生效，因此1月前两周将不接受这六种商品的订舱。

      达飞已宣布三个航次受到影响：CIX航线的“OOCL Genoa”，预计1月4日抵达香港；AS6航线的“Cosco Thailand”，预计1月7日抵达；AS6航线上的“Xin Hong Kong”，预计1月14日抵达。
