The busiest month! New York Port handled nearly 745,000 TEUs in October 

October 2023 was New York Port's busiest month of the year, handling 742,571 TEUs. Despite being the second busiest seaport in the U.S., the port's throughput dropped 6.3 percent compared to the same period last year, when it was 792,548 TEUs. 

According to the data, the import of New York Port declined slightly in October, with a decrease of 0.2%, totaling 381,756 TEUs. The import data from the beginning of 2023 to the present is 3,339,345 TEUs, down 19.6% compared with the same period of last year.

In addition, exports fell 1.2 percent to 111,024 TEUs in October. From January to October, New York Port transported a total of 1,068,955 TEUs, compared with 1,086,093 TEUs in the same period last year.

In October,56,819 containers were transported by rail through East Coast ports, down 11.4 percent year-on-year. From January to October, rail traffic dropped 12.9 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles passing through the port in October was 29,792, down 6.9 percent from the same period last year. From January to October, vehicle sales were down 11.1 percent compared with the same period last year.

According to the data of the first ten months, the total number of containers in New York Port is 6,531,687 TEUs. 

最繁忙的一个月！纽约港10月处理近74.5万标准箱

       2023年10月，是纽约港一年中最繁忙的一个月，共处理了742571个标准箱。尽管作为美国第二繁忙的海港，但与去年同期相比，该港口的吞吐量下降了6.3%，当时吞吐量为792548标准箱。

       数据显示，纽约港10月份的进口略有下降，降幅为0.2%，总计为381756个标准箱。2023年年初至今的进口数据为3339345个标准箱，较去年同期下降了19.6%。

       此外，10月份出口量下降了1.2%，达到111024个标准箱。从1月到10月，纽约港总计运输了1068955个标准箱，而去年同期为1086093个标准箱。

       10月份，通过东海岸港口的铁路运输集装箱为56819个，同比下降了11.4%。从1月到10月，铁路运输量同比下降了12.9%。

       与此同时，10月份通过该港口的车辆总数为29792辆，较去年同期下降了6.9%。从1月到10月，汽车销量相较去年同期下降了11.1%。

       综合前十个月的数据来看，纽约港的集装箱总量为6531687个标准箱。
