16.85%! Container throughput of Saudi ports increased significantly in November 

It is reported that Saudi ports supervised by Saudi Port Authority (Mawani) have made remarkable achievements in November, with container throughput increasing by 16.85% to 737,530 TEUs.

In the past month, the number of export containers in Saudi ports reached 212,216 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 15.95%; The number of imported containers was 224,324 TEUs, up 18.67% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the transshipment volume increased by 16.16% to 300,990 TEUs. 

In addition, Saudi ports had 891,980 tons of general cargo,3,494,161 tons of dry bulk cargo and 11,205,789 tons of liquid bulk cargo, according to Mawani's report. Saudi ports unloaded about 754,124 cattle, up 159 percent year-on-year and 1.59 times the same period last year. They received 82,649 vehicles, down 0.84 percent year-on-year. Ship traffic also increased slightly, up 2.11 percent to 1,016 ships.

Overall, the cargo throughput of Saudi ports was 23,717,049 tons, down 6.13% compared with 25,265,615 tons in the same period of 2022.

It is worth mentioning that Mawani successfully introduced 27 new freight services operated by global shipping companies in 2023, aiming to further expand the maritime connection network between Saudi ports and other parts of the world. This initiative will provide more convenient and efficient support for international trade.

       据悉，由沙特港务局(Mawani)监管的沙特港口在11月份取得了显著的成就，集装箱吞吐量实现了16.85%的增长，达到了737530个标准箱。

       在过去的一个月里，沙特港口的出口集装箱数量达到了212216个标准箱，同比增长15.95%;进口集装箱数量为224324个标准箱，同比增长18.67%。同时，转船量增长16.16%,达到300990个标准箱。

       此外，根据Mawani的报告，沙特港口的普通货物总量为891980吨，干散货为3494161吨，液体散货为11205789吨。沙特港口卸载了大约754124头牛，同比增长了159%，为去年同期的1.59倍。接收了82649辆汽车，较去年同期减少0.84%。船舶交通量也略有增长，增幅为2.11%,达到了1016船。

       总体而言，沙特港口的货物吞吐量为23717049吨，相比2022年同期的25265615吨下降了6.13%。

       值得一提的是，Mawani早前在2023年期间成功引入了27项由全球航运公司运营的新货运服务，旨在进一步拓展沙特港口与世界其他地区的海上联系网络。这一举措将为国际贸易提供更加便捷和高效的支持。
