Maersk: The first large methanol ship will go online in 2024!

The first of 18 large methanol-powered ships ordered by Maersk will soon be put into operation.

On February 9,2024, it will be deployed on the AE7 route connecting Asia and Europe, which calls Shanghai, Tanjung Parapas, Colombo and Hamburg, among which Ningbo, China is the first destination port of this round.

Built by South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), the container ship has a designed capacity of 16,000 TEUs, is equipped with a dual-fuel engine and can sail on methanol, biodiesel and traditional marine fuels. 

The AE7 route connects Asia and Europe through Suez Canal.

The AE7 route stops at the following ports: Ningbo, Shanghai, Nansha, Yantian (all in China), Tanjung Pelepas (Malaysia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Tangier Port (Morocco), Felixstowe (UK), Hamburg (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), London Gateway Port (UK), Le Havre (France), Tangier Port, Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Abu Dhabi (UAE) and Jebel Ali (UAE). 

马士基：首艘大型甲醇船舶2024年上线！

       马士基订造的18艘大型甲醇动力船舶中的第一船船即将投入运营。

       2024年2月9日，它将被部署在连接亚洲和欧洲的AE7航线上，该航线挂靠上海、丹戎帕拉帕斯、科伦坡和汉堡等港口，其中中国宁波为该轮第一个目的港。

       这艘集装箱船由韩国现代重工(HHI)建造，设计运力为16000标准箱(TEU)，配备双燃料发动机，可以使用甲醇、生物柴油和传统船用燃料航行。

       AE7航线通过苏伊士运河连接亚洲和欧洲。

       AE7航线停靠以下港口：宁波、上海、南沙、盐田（均为中国）、丹戎帕拉帕斯（马来西亚）、科伦坡（斯里兰卡）、丹吉尔港（摩洛哥）、费利克斯托（英国）、汉堡（德国）、安特卫普（比利时）、伦敦门户港（英国）、勒阿弗尔（法国）、丹吉尔港、吉达（沙特阿拉伯）、阿布扎比（阿联酋）和杰贝阿里（阿联酋）。
