From the TAC index of international air cargo price index, the freight from Shanghai to North America was 5.94 US dollars per kilogram as of November 20, up 50% compared with the first week of July; Freight from Shanghai to Europe rose 53 percent to $4.64 per kilogram. Freight from Hong Kong to North America and Europe rose 32 percent and 37 percent respectively.
The increase in freight rates represents a decrease in profit margins. Compared with air transportation, which is hard to find in one warehouse, sea transportation, which is safe and low in freight rates, has become the preferred logistics mode for most electric merchants.

从国际航空货运价格指标TAC指数看,从上海至北美的运费截至11月20日为每公斤5.94美元,与7月第一周相比上涨50%;上海至欧洲的运费为每公斤4.64美元,上涨53%。从香港出发至北美和欧洲的货运价格分别上涨32%和37%。
运价上涨代表着利润空间减少,而相对于一仓难求的空运,运输方式安全目运价较低的海运成为了大部分电商人的首选物流方式。
