Maersk surpasses MSC! Become the most reliable shipping company again
Recently, Sea-Intelligence released the latest Global Liner Performance (GLP) report, including liner reliability data up to October 2023. Maersk surpassed MSC to become the most reliable container shipping line with the highest regular rate.
Sea-intelligence's GLP report measures the performance of the 14 largest container shipping lines in the world.Report shows, the overall quasi-shift rate of shipping companies was 64.4% in October, which was basically the same in October 2022, but from the whole year of 2023, this figure increased by 12.6 percentage points compared with last year.
Among the top 13 shipping lines, Maersk leapt to the top with an impressive 71.1 percent, surpassing MSC's 68.5 percent. In September, MSC topped the list with 70.9 percent, followed by Maersk and its subsidiary Hamburg South America with 70.0 percent.
Six shipping lines had regular sailings between 60-70 percent, while the remaining six were between 50-60 percent, the report said. South Korea's HMM became the most unreliable shipping line in October, with a regular sailings rate of just 53.6 percent.
Among the top 13 operators, six achieved month-on-month growth in October 2023, with HMM leading the way with a substantial growth of 7.7 percentage points. In addition,11 of the 13 operators achieved double-digit year-on-year growth, among which Wanhai achieved the most significant growth, reaching 22.8 percentage points.

Sea-intelligence的GLP报告衡量了全球14家最大的集装箱航运公司的准班率表现。报告显示，10月份航运公司的整体准班率为64.4%，2022年10月基本持平，但从2023年全年来看，这一数字比去年提高了12.6个百分点。
在排名前13位的航运公司中，马士基以令人印象深刻71.1%的准班率跃居榜首，超过了MSC的68.5%。而9月份，MSC以70.9%的船舶准班率位居第一，其次是马土基及其子公司汉堡南美，准班率为70.0%。
报告称，6家航运公司的准班率在60-70%之间，而其余6家则在50-60%之间。韩国HMM成为10月份最不可靠的航运公司，准班率只有53.6%。
在前13家运营商中，有6家在2023年10月实现了环比增长，其中HMM以7.7个百分点的大幅增长领航。此外，13家运营商中有11家实现了两位数的同比增长，其中万海的增长最为显著，达到22.8个百分点。
